About The Nurtured Bond

Value-Centered Lactation Support for Every Mother’s Journey

Feeding your baby isn’t always as simple as you hoped it would be. When life doesn’t align perfectly with your ideal feeding plan - whether you’re balancing work, recovery, or family demands - it can bring feelings of guilt or discouragement. But motherhood was never meant to be walked alone.

At The Nurtured Bond, we believe that every mother deserves guidance rooted in faith, compassion, and professional expertise. We meet families where they are - offering holistic support for every breastfeeding journey that empowers mothers to nurture with confidence, grace, and peace.

Unlike traditional lactation services that may focus only on latch or milk supply, The Nurtured Bond provides holistic, values-driven guidance that includes breastfeeding, pumping, return-to-work strategies, and personalized feeding plans. Through compassion and evidence-based care, mothers gain the tools and confidence to feed their babies in the way that works best for their lifestyle while strengthening the sacred bond they share.

We partner with families to remove the stress and pressure around feeding - whether that means breastfeeding, bottle feeding, pumping, or a combination of all three. Together, we make feeding your baby simple, supported, and spiritually fulfilling.

Our goal is to empower mothers to nourish with confidence and care, offering the reassurance that every step, every challenge, and every moment of your journey is guided by grace and understanding.

Motherhood

After giving birth to my son in 2018, I faced significant mental and physical challenges with breastfeeding and ultimately exclusively pumped for him for one year. When I became pregnant with my daughter in 2020, I knew I needed a different path. Determined to succeed with direct breastfeeding, I immersed myself in lactation research and was astonished by how much there was to learn - even with a background in nursing and nutrition. After her birth in early 2021, I successfully breastfed my daughter for two years, and she eventually weaned on her own. These experiences shaped both my passion and my purpose. Today, I am dedicated to providing evidence-based care, compassionate support, and informed guidance to help families achieve their own breastfeeding goals.

Meet Cassy

My name is Cassy Leadbeater and I am a proud native of the Central Pennsylvania region. After spending several years in Florida, my husband and I returned home in 2020 to raise our two children. I completed my Licensed Practical Nursing certificate at the Cambridge Institute of Allied Health and Technology in 2013 and earned an Associate’s Degree in Nutrition from HACC in 2016. In 2022, I completed the Certified Lactation Counselor course through the Healthy Children’s Project, and in 2023, I founded the South Central Breastfeeding Coalition. Most recently, I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Maternal Child Health and Human Lactation in 2024 and became an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in July 2025.

Although I am newer to the IBCLC profession, I bring many years of personal and professional experience in the lactation field...

I give all glory, praise, and honor to God - without Him, none of this would be possible.

“Yet You are He who brought me forth from the womb; You made me trust when upon my mother’s breasts.” -Psalm 22:9
